About Erskine Owen
At Erskine Owen, we believe intelligent property investment is about more than just good returns. Itʼs about building lasting wealth.
Our relentless focus on finding the very best commercial and residential properties has helped hundreds of New Zealanders to build lasting wealth - for their families and the generations to come.
Erskine Owen is proudly independent, and that means we work for you. We act as your buyerʼs agent to find, negotiate, and complete due diligence on properties we passionately believe will deliver returns. Every investor has different needs, so we work hard to understand you and your ambitions as we build your personal property portfolio.
Our expertise in syndicated property funds means our clients can also benefit from larger scale commercial investments. These funds donʼt just build our clientsʼ futures – they also build our countryʼs future, funding facilities from childcare centres, to business hubs, to healthcare centres and more.
At Erskine Owen, our business is underpinned by our values. We understand that what we do builds more than good returns – it builds our good name. Thatʼs why weʼre committed to ethical and transparent investments – doing the right thing by our people, our investors, and the communities we serve.

I’ve grown up with property. My Grandfather William Erskine Richardson, (thus the Erskine), a builder, developed much of the land between Browns Bay and Forrest Hill on Auckland’s North Shore. From the humble beginnings of living with my grandmother and daughters in a shack in a timber yard, to buying up farmland, and later develop a large mass of what is now Auckland’s urban north shore. I know property is a great generator of wealth long term. It starts with a vision and is made successful with foresight.

I have always had a passion for property, inspired by my uncle Barry Owen McConnel, (thus the Owen). He built a significant property investment portfolio, and watching his journey with property inspired me. He encouraged my parents (both civil servants) to invest, which they did, and are now enjoying the fruits of their long term property investment – travelling the world in their retirement.
